Learning Disability Diagnostic
Assessments
We offer assessments to ascertain whether an individual has a global learning disability, either as a standalone assessment or in conjunction with an autism and/ or ADHD assessment.
A Learning Disability assessment can be helpful to ascertain the best type of support for an individual moving forwards.
Our assessments typically follow a predictable format as described below. However, we understand that everybody is different, and we are always happy to discuss modifications to the process if needed.
Initial Discovery Call
What is it?
Online video consultation to explore your background and to ascertain whether further assessment would be useful.
How long is it?
60-90 minutes
What does it cost?
£200 (Cost deducted from assessment cost if full assessment is agreed)

Learning disability is commonly confused with specific learning difficulties, such as Dyslexia or Dyscalculia. However, they are very different. Whilst specific learning difficulties can lead to problems in some areas, they are not associated with reduced intellectual ability.

A global learning disability is:
"...a reduced intellectual ability and difficulty with everyday activities – for example household tasks, socialising or managing money – which affects someone for their whole life.
People with a learning disability tend to take longer to learn and may need support to develop new skills, understand complicated information and interact with other people.”
